His father and grandfather were both combat pilots with the Indian Air Force, while his younger brother was a pilot in a commercial airline. At only 15 years, Tahir joined the famous Barry John Acting School to improve his acting skills.
After finishing his studies in Delhi, Tahir worked for first-generation production before moving to Melbourne to complete his studies.
