He was originally called "Daljit". He had no relationship with anybody in the music industry, but his zealous singing helped him to establish his niche. In 2000 he debuted with the album "Ishq Da Uda Ada". His song "Lak 28 Kudi Da" was a mega success in which Yo Yo Honey Singh was also shown.
Diljit's rocky performance in the film "Jatt and Juliet" meant a turning point in his career and the film's sequel also broke the record. Here's a video of his role in the first part: His song "Proper Patola" became the first song of Punjabi to appear in Vevo and collected more than 1 million opinions.

Diljit initially refused to make Soorma; since he was never interested in making a sports movie, but Sandeep Singh's inspiring story encouraged him to play the role. In addition, Sandeep Singh taught him how to play a hockey.
