Anupam Kher was president of the National School for Drama School NSD and Censor Board of India. He is the only actor who has won the Filmfare Award for Best Comic Performance 5 times.
Anupam and his wife Kirron were both part of a theater group in Chandigarh. Interestingly, at that time they were just 'best friends'. While Anupam married a girl named Madhumalati, Kirron linked the knot with a merchant named Gautam Berry.
