Manmeet was a popular student in his school days, and was also an excellent sportsman. When they were in Gwalior, Legendary Bollywood singer Late Mahendra Kapoor suggest him and his brother to try their luck in music profession.
In his schooling days in Gwalior he was really fat and weighted around 118kgs. Both he and his brother Harmeet Singh started their career as actor, but after the success of their debut Pop album Boond in 2002, they switched to singing.
