He did not go to cricket and began to comment with All India Radio in Hyderabad until the age of 19.
Before the 1992 Cricket World Cup, between 1991 and 1992, he became the first Indian commentator to be invited by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation to the Cricket Series in India.
Since then Bhogle has worked for ABC Radio Grandstand in Australian trips in India and for eight years he has worked for the BBC on his team of commentators during the World Cricket Cups in 1996 and 1999.
