At the age of 14, a Telugu director offered a three-minute dance song in a movie called Bhoomi Kosam after watching his great show. She received only 10 for her performance in the movie.She started her performance in South Indian movies.
In 1976, at the age of 17, Jaya Prada became a great star in South Indian cinema.She has worked with great actors such as Kamal Haasan Mohan Lal Rajnikanth and Amitabh Bachchan.The 1977 film, Adavi Ramudu, broke ticket tickets and consolidated his star. "Jaya Prada in Adavi Ramudu 1977".
The same year it is presented in the Kannada Cinema by film director Vijay in the battleship film Sanadi Appanna. This film is also known as the Ustad Bismillah Khan's only movie with chicheli presentation.

It was K. Viswanath who introduced Jaya Prada to Bollywood featuring it in the Indian film Sargam in 1979. She also won her first movie appointment for the film.Initially she had problems with Indian language and improving her language she began to take Indian lessons.
In 2011, after separating the Samajwadi Party, she coached with Amar Singh, her own party, Rashtriya Lok Manch, and starred 360 out of the 403 meetings in the 2012 parliamentary election in Uttar Pradesh. The party, however, was not even able to defeat a seat.
Later, Rashtriya Lok Dal joined in 2014.Jaya Prada and Sridevi were then watched as outstanding rivals.She owns the Jaya Prada Theater in Chennai.The famous Indian producer Satyajit Ray described Jaya Prada as one of the world's most beautiful women.
