At the age of five she learned Bharatnatyam. After graduating in the United States, Patel received a proposal from Morgan Stanley, but refused. After his return to India, Patel joined the theater group of Satyadev Dubey and appeared in plays, including an urban piece called Neelam 1999.
Patel also inspired famous Indian brands such as Bajaj Sevashram, Fair & Lovely, Cadburys Jai Lime, Fem, Lux and others. His first film, Kaho Na Pyar Hai, was the 2000 movie star. Kaho Na Pyar Hai Poster Patel won the Filmfare Special Performance Award 2001 for Gadar Movie.
In September 2004, Patel joined PETA A People for Ethical Treatment of Animals and played at Help Theater! A teleton concert is grouped for victims of the earthquake in the Indian Ocean in 2004. In 2006 she joined an NRO called Planet Read, which helps villagers learn to read songs.

Her father Amit Patel used her hard money to revive family business, causing misunderstandings between Ameesha Patel and her parents. In July 2004, Ameesha Patel sent a legal notice to his father for incorrectly handling his tickets and money and claimed his refund.
