She has worked in several languages, such as Malajalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. It replaced the name on the screen Amala Paul by Anakha, as proposed by the director Samy because another actress Amala Amala Akkineni has already made his popular name.
In 2010 she changed his name back to the screen, Anakha, in her true name, Amala Paul, as she felt that the replacement brought her bad fate.
She became known for the controversial character "Sundari" in the tamila erotic thriller Sindhu Samaveli 2010. Loved at Sundari in Sindhu Samaveli
