After leaving his university, he returned to his hometown and bought a Yashica room and left his home with 300 INR in his pocket. This phase of her relationship deteriorated her relationship with her parents who had not talked to her for about five years.
When he traveled to Mumbai to become a painter, he contacted a contractor during his trip. Later he took Jha to his building in Dahisar, Mumbai, and provided him a refuge against which Jha wrote his tickets.
He found his goals when he met artistic director, Aghajani Kashmeri, who filmed the 1973 Dharma movie with Pran, Rekha and Navin Nischol. He watched the movie all day and so impressed the film's making that he decided to become a filmmaker.
