In an interview he said that although his parents were teachers, they never forced him to study well. Instead, his father pushed him into the sport that he could perform six different sports at the university level, including soccer, cricket, table tennis and badminton.
Although he was a passionate sportsman, Byju never had the project to carry out a career in the same genre. Like many other students in his school, he thought of only two professions: a medical practitioner in medical sciences and an engineer.
As a medical student he hardly had time to play, he chose to become an engineer. After graduating in Mechanical Engineering, he landed work as a Service Engineer in a multinational service company.
