Neetu Singh's children's photo.Her screen name as a child artist was "Baby Sonia". She knew Rishi Kapoor since she was a teenager and started dating at fifteen years and then married her when she was 21 years old.
Although Rishi Kapoor first wanted to marry Dimple Kapadia, after his father's refusal, Raj Kapoor, he started with Neetu. She made her progress as the protagonist in the film Rickshawala 1973, against her future brother-in-law, Randhir Kapoor, who did not work well in the contractress.
