She tried to become a journalist. The accident happened to her because she asked to attend a stewardess after completing her studies, but for malaria she could not participate and luckily she received a proposal.
She has become famous for her role as Akshara in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai of Star Plus. Prior to joining 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' she followed intense acting instruction for two weeks in Amardeep Jha's theater lessons.
