Sawant participated in Asian Idol's first season in December 2007. He finished the show finishing third at the establishments. He was the first finalist of "Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar", a contest between the winners and the finalists of several other real television shows sung.
After not having enough appeals, Sawant went to the cinema in 2009 with his first film Lottery. He also appeared on a Spraymintt television show and in some playcases such as Kaisa Ye Pyar Hai and C.I.D.
In 2008-09 Sawant and his wife participated in the 4th edition of Nach Baliye, reality TV show Dance. When nothing worked for this wonder, he went to Shiv-Seine in July 2009 to attract more young people to the party. Sawant organized the fifth season of Indian Idol in 2010.

In an interview in 2011, journalist Sawant asked why he put his musical career in the back. He replied: "There is a lot of lobbying in the music industry, I'm going to the music directors, they make great claims and never come back.
I have seen people who do not have much talent but still work for their personal contacts. spoke, he replied: "Watch Atif Aslam, he plays so many Bollywood songs. Woh kaunse angle reading singer category mein aata hai? "
