After her father's suggestion, she decided to exchange the media. When she was eighteen, she realized she wanted to become a journalist. She became popular in NDTV 24 × 7 Left, Right & Center TV shows.
Razdan married in 2005 with journalist and writer Neelesh Misra. The couple divorced a few years later. In 2011 Nidhi Razdan received the professor's TAA prize for his electronic journalism.
She received the Ramnath Goenka Journalism Award for reporting from Jammu and Kashmir and North East India.
