Debashree Roy Real Facts:-
She started her performance as a childhood artist for 6 years. At nine o'clock she became known as a childhood artist for her role as Ranu in the Bengali movie Kuheli 1971. She is a classic, tribal and popular dancer.
At first she learned to dance from her mother and older sister, then by Bandana Sen, but later she was coached by Kelucharan Mahapatra. She has worked in more than 100 films in different languages, such as Bengal, Tamil and Hindi.
She has won several awards including National Film Award, Banga Bibhushan, 3 BFJA Awards, 5 Kalakar Awards, Anandalok Puraskar Award and Bharat Nirman. She is the mother's aunt of the actress of Bollywood Rani Mukerji.
In 1995 she was married to a popular Bengali actor, who lasted 3 years. She has participated in many classical and popular dance dramas such as the production of Natri Troupe by Bichitro, Vasavdatta, Swapner Sandhane, etc.
In 2011 she became a member of the Raidighi electoral authority's legislative assembly. She has a non-profit organization, the Debasree Roy Foundation, which works in the case of foreign animals.
